Why do I want to do this?
Respite care can give parents/guardians of children with significant behavioralhealth needs a chance to relieve stress, renew their energy, and promote balance in their daily lives. It can also prevent the parent/guardian’s exhaustion, isolation, orburn out. Whether it’s just for a few hours a week or an extended break, respite care can provide parent/guardians more time to take care of themselves and other responsibilities so they can be their best selves when parenting their child. When they are reunited with their child, they are rested and better equipped to meet the child’s needs.
